About Bryophi

WHAT DOES BRYOPHI MEAN?
It comes from the word "bryophyte," the family of mosses. In Quebec, peat bogs and marshes, where a variety of more than 900 species of bryophytes can be found, make up nearly 12% of the territory.

OUR VISION
Redefining how to travel in Quebec by reducing the gap between tourists and locals, while respecting communities and ecosystems.
OUR MISSION
We organize expeditions in small groups, which combine boreal landscapes, human encounters and scientific knowledge.
Each stay is carbon neutral and designed to offer a small-scale experience, in rhythm with the Quebec territory.

Sara Lopez McGurrin
A marine biologist by training, I've always had a passion for wildlife. Originally from Montreal , I chose to settle in Rimouski to be closer to nature and fell in love with the Lower St. Lawrence region. I then began my career as an outdoor guide, which now allows me to share my love of nature and discovering new horizons. Dynamic and passionate, I enjoy creating genuine moments with people and building connections between the ecosystem and the community.
Originally from a family in the Gaspé Peninsula, I spent a good part of my childhood enjoying this magnificent region. One day, tired of the big-city pace, I decided to get an adventure guiding certificate in Gaspé—and I never left! This experience was a true revelation. A big fan of sports and outdoor activities, I've worked in this field for over five years, all across Canada. Curious, energetic, and always ready for a laugh, I love creating simple, joyful moments.

Rustem Urazmetov

Born in Russia and arriving in Quebec at the age of 8, I grew up in Montreal before pursuing my studies in biology, specializing in wildlife and habitat, in Rimouski. Passionate about Quebec nature, I specialized in the study of caribou and the ecosystems of the Gaspé Peninsula.
After several years working in the field of biology, I developed solid expertise in identifying flora and fauna. Today, I enjoy sharing this knowledge in the field during my outdoor guiding activities. Calm, curious, and always ready with a joke, I love creating peaceful and enjoyable moments where everyone can connect with nature.
